| As well as our
monthly meetings and as part of our commitment to improve welfare
in captivity the group regularly organised events throughout
the year including educational stands for shows, check up days
and workshops for owners , students and vet practices. We actively
aim, to work closely with all areas of tortoise keeping, to
improve links and in turn knowledge.
If you are unable to make our monthly meetings, our regular
events are a good way to get involved, share ideas and meets

SPRING SUMMER 2012
CHECK UP INFORMATION DAYS , WORMING & MICRO CHIPPING
EVENTS – minimum of 6 events planned for spring
summer 2012. Areas include Horsford, North Norwich, Diss, South
of Norwich and Terrington near Kings Lynn!
ROYAL NORFOLK SHOW - Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th
June 2012 - Countryside Area displaying tortoise setups
as well offering a chance to meet members, access help and support
on all aspects of tortoise keeping. 9.00am - 5.00pm Daily. **NOTE**
the CLUB STAND HAS MOVED from small animal section to Stand
Number 111 for 2011 is in countryside area close to City College
Norwich display building and dog arena.
SPRING FLING – Thursday 12th April 2012
- Over 100 stands provided interactive learning for children
(and grown ups!) from Tortoises in the COUNTRYSIDE PAVILION,
cow milking through to seed planting, sausage making, live animals
and vintage tractor displays. interactive displays and animals.
It is to their support that the Spring Fling has become such
a wonderful family day out.

event is being held to help give tips and advice on how to help
your tortoise live a long, healthy and happy life. An experienced
vet will be on hand to give health checks to your tortoise.
A suggested donation of £5 is requested for health checks.
All funds raised will be donated to the club and put towards

Brackenwood, Sandy Lane, Horsford, North Norwich, Norfolk,

is being held to help give tips and advice on how to help your
tortoise live a long, healthy and happy life. An experienced
vet will be on hand to give health free checks to your tortoise.
A suggested donation of £5 is requested for health checks.
This event also offers an opportunity to get your tortoise wormed.
Unfortunately tortoises are very prone to worms, so a check
if nothing else is well worth the visit. Tortoises can be wormed
on this day for a cost price of £5 per tortoise. This
day is also an opportunity to visit newly setup ‘All creatures
healthcare’ vet practice. Meet club members, ask questions,
view displays, view and buy basic care products and edible plants.
Royal Norfolk Show - Wednesday 29th June & Thursday
30th June 2011 Once again we will at the Royal Norfolk Show,
Countryside Area displaying tortoise setups as well offering

June 2011 at St Francis Church Hall, Rider Haggard Rd, Heartsease,
Norwich Come along to see displays on setups, feeding and more.
Meet club members, view and buy basic care products and edible
plants. Specialist vet Louise Raymond from All Creatures Health
Care will also be on hand to give expert advice and basic health
checks to tortoises. Note; Please make sure tortoises are brought
in a secure, solid sided box and remain contained during visit
to avoid risk of cross infection from other tortoises. 1.00pm
